(1) Cold forming process of springs


1) The one-time automation capability of cold forming process. The cold forming machine has now developed to 12 claws. Steel wires within the range of (0.3-14) mm can be basically formed in one go with an 8-claw forming machine. The current development direction of forming process equipment:


① Improving the forming speed, the main development trend is to improve the forming speed of equipment, that is, production efficiency;
② Improve the durability of equipment by improving the precision of equipment components and strengthening the heat treatment effect;

③ Add length sensors and laser rangefinders to automatically closed-loop control the manufacturing process of CNC forming machines.


2) Cold forming process range capability. At present, the large diameter spring coiling machine can reach a large specification of 20mm, 2000MPa, and a winding ratio of 5. There are still limitations to the cold forming process of variable or equal diameter Mini Block springs and eccentric springs.


(2) Hot forming process of springs

1) Speed capability of hot forming process. At present, there is only a CNC2 axis hot coil spring machine in China for forming (9-25) mm specifications, with a high speed of 17 pieces per minute. Compared to developed countries, there is a significant gap.


2) Ability to control the hot forming process of large springs. Due to the limited CNC2 axis hot spring coiling machine, shape control lacks three directional effects and has poor accuracy; Moreover, there is no automatic rod rotation control and adjustment mechanism, so the level and ability of the hot coil spring forming process are relatively low. Therefore, the accuracy level and surface oxidation decarbonization level of the spring are also low.
