Industrial equipment manufacturing industry refers to enterprises that produce various machinery and equipment in the equipment industry itself. Mainly including heavy machinery, general machinery, machine tools, instruments and meters, electrical manufacturing, and light textile industrial equipment. At present, there are few large-scale enterprises with national significance in the industrial equipment manufacturing industry in ethnic regions of China. However, a group of small and medium-sized enterprises have been established in various provinces and regions, constantly adding new varieties, which has played a positive role in the local economic development. Before the liberation of Guangxi, the mechanical industry was backward. At that time, the large Liuzhou China Agricultural Machinery Company (predecessor of Liuzhou Machinery Factory) had only 28 dilapidated machine tools and 220 employees, and could only produce simple products such as hand operated oil presses and animal powered sugarcane presses. After liberation, the mechanical industry in Guangxi developed rapidly. Now the entire region has gradually formed more than 10 manufacturing industries with complete categories, including agricultural machinery industry, electrical industry, machine tool industry, petrochemical general machinery industry, instrument and meter industry, heavy mining machinery industry, automotive industry, packaging machinery industry, general basic component industry, and bearing industry. There are over 2000 main products, of which more than 80 have won the title of National, Ministry of Machinery Industry, and Autonomous Region High Quality Product Award. We also have over 30 products, including machine tools, forging equipment, household appliances, walking tractors, and micro cars, which are exported to over 20 countries and regions such as Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, and France, the United States, and Japan. In addition, the manufacturing of industrial equipment in provinces such as Inner Mongolia, Yunnan, and Ningxia is also developing rapidly. At present, there are industrial equipment manufacturing bases in Liuzhou, Nanning, Guilin, Wuzhou, Hohhot, Baotou, Jining, Ulanhot, Hailar, Kunming, Yinchuan, Wuzhong, and other areas.
